RPG
RPG rotating feeder
The marking RPG 250 means the type and size of the feeder
Uses
RPG is designed for feeding dry, non-adhesive materials at temperatures of up to 80°C at various static pressures. The most suitable use for this product is at the end of a material separator hopper.
Description
The body of the feeder is oval in shape with flanges and is welded from Class 11 steel. In the centre is an opening in which the rotor with blades rotates; the blades have rubber edges attached. The rotor blades pass the material down through the rotating feeder during operation. The rotor is installed on the shaft which rotates in bearings at the ends. Bearings are housed in blocks attached along with lateral housings to the feeder body. The transmission with the electric motor is attached to the extended end of the shaft. An operating circuit is located at the other, shorter end, which visually indicates rotor rotation or stoppage. Alternatively a console with a rotor sensor is installed wherein a rotating indicator is placed on the shaft.
The material enters the RPG via the upper flange. This material falls between the blades to the rotor. When rotating this material is separated between the blades and the body from the hopper and is passed down where the material falls from the feeder via the lower flange into additional equipment.
RPG operation can be inspected visually using the operating circuit or electronically via the electronic sensor and the magnetic interrupter.
Electrical connections must meet the conditions in STN (Slovak Technical Standard) 33 2000-3.
RPG location is proposed by the project engineer or by EKOTECHA s.r.o. pursuant to project documentation provided by individual producers and standards.

Operational conditions
- RPG is designed for operation in both intake and exhaust sections of HVAC piping.
- RPG is designed for feeding dry and non-adhesive materials up to a standard temperature of 80°C, or higher is requested, at various static pressures.
- RPG is designed for feeding dry, non-adhesive materials that do not contain adhesive matter or residual amounts of liquid fuels.
- RPG cannot work in conditions that do not secure the transportation of fed materials so as to prevent the lower RPW flange from filling.
- RPG cannot feed material that dimensionally cannot pass through the feeder; this can result in a jam.
- In the event of a jam the RPG is equipped with a shear pin.
