These safety elements serve to absorb and direct a blast in the event of an explosion while preserving the overall integrity of the cyclone. These safety elements can be reused after they are re-installed following a blast. With respect to these measures, CLE Ex and CLE HD Ex cyclones are used in environments where the risk of an explosion cannot be eliminated and in the event of an explosion during filtration or in the HVAC ductwork itself would result in significant damage. The placement of Ex line equipment can only be performed externally.
