RPE
RPE rotating feeder
The marking RPE 250 means the type and size of the feeder
Uses
RPE is designed for feeding dry and non-adhesive materials up to a standard temperature of 150°C, or higher is requested, at various static pressures. It is best to use this equipment as an HVAC termination for a material separation hopper or as dosing equipment.
Description
Feeder body - the stator is a rolled shape with flanges, cast from a grey allow or a welded structure. In the centre there is an opening in which a rotor with blades rotates. The rotor blades pass the material down through the rotating feeder during operation. Between the rotor blades and the stator opening a sealed space is created that separates the hopper from equipment below the feeder. The rotor is installed on the shaft which rotates in bearings at the ends. Bearings are located in bearing blocks that are installed on the body of the feeder. The transmission from the electric motor is attached to the extended end of the shaft. An operating circuit is located at the other, shorter end, which visually indicates rotor rotation or stoppage.
The material enters the RPE via the upper flange. This material falls between the blades to the rotor. When rotating this material is separated between the blades and the body from the hopper and is passed down. The material falls from the feeder via the lower flange.
RPE operation can be inspected visually via the operating circuit.
RPE location is proposed by the project engineer or by EKOTECHA s.r.o. pursuant to project documentation provided by individual producers and standards.

Operational conditions
- RPE is designed for operation in both intake and exhaust sections of HVAC piping.
- RPE is designed for feeding dry and non-adhesive materials up to a standard temperature of 150°C, or higher is requested, at various static pressures.
- RPE is designed for feeding dry, non-adhesive materials that do not contain adhesive matter or residual amounts of liquid fuels.
- RPE cannot work in conditions that do not secure the transportation of fed materials so as to prevent the lower RPE flange from filling.
- RPE cannot feed material that dimensionally cannot pass through the feeder; this can result in a jam.
- In the event of a jam the RPE is equipped with a shear pin.
